Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Saw Sharpener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining, with the ability to sharpen and maintain various types of saw blades. This role is essential in ensuring that our production processes run smoothly and efficiently within our sawmill. The Saw Sharpener will work closely with other team members in a manufacturing environment, utilizing hand tools, power tools, and CNC machines to achieve high-quality results. Precise measuring skills are a must.
Duties
- Sharpen and maintain saw blades using appropriate machinery and tools.
- Operate CNC machines for precision sharpening tasks.
- Use calipers and other measuring tools to ensure accuracy in blade specifications.
- Collaborate with the production team to understand specific sharpening needs for different projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Perform routine maintenance on sharpening equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Operate machine griders
- Perform measurements with 100% accuracy.
Requirements
- Familiarity with CNC programming and operation is highly desirable.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and calipers.
- Experience in manufacturing or warehouse settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of millwork processes and techniques is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
