What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Manager position at Clatsop Community Action?
Purpose Oversee the operation and management of CCA properties. Supervises facility maintenance and project management at all CCA Properties; Hilltop, Shelters, Food Bank and the CCA office. The employee must have knowledge of day-to-day interior/exterior maintenance and custodial duties of all properties to ensure safe and sanitary housing.
Responsibilities
· Meeting potential tenants, showing them the property and assessing their applications in accordance.
· Investigates and resolves property complaints.
· Facilitate projects for maintenance, trash removal, landscaping, security and other ongoing services needed.
· Works with the maintenance staff to fulfill the needs of all CCA sites.
· Conducts annual and periodic unit inspections.
· Utilizes daily checklist as guideline to maintaining all properties.
· Contacts vendors for larger projects/repairs are needed/required.
· Recognizes potential safety issues and creates a corrective plan of action.
· Weekly reporting to the Deputy Director regarding tenants, maintenance & projects.
· Basic writing and computer skills required for report writing.
· Proactively identify and implement improvements to Hilltop Apartments, Shelters, Regional Food bank and the CCA offices.
· Understand and follow written c policies & procedures.
· Maintain equipment repair records & preventative maintenance records.
· Performs other duties as assigned by the Deputy Director.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree or relevant business experience preferred.
· Previous property management experience required. `
· 3 years of property management experience preferred.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary (ex: after-hours emergency calls).
· An ability to effectively organize a wide variety of tasks and ensure quality services.
· Basic writing and computer skills required for report writing.
· Experience working with a wide range of clientele and demographics preferred.
· Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and reliable transportation.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
· Stand, walk, climb stairs, and safely use ladders/step stools.
· Safely navigate uneven terrain, grass, concrete, carpet, vinyl surfaces.
· Bend, crouch, turn, reach, kneel and stretch frequently.
· Evening/weekend work may be required to respond to tenants.
