Position Title: Maintenance Technician
Position Type: Full Time, Hourly
Purpose:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all Clatsop Community Action (CCA) facilities. This includes diagnosing and repairing electrical issues, locating leaks and repairing plumbing issues, carpentry, groundskeeping, painting, and occasional janitorial work. This position also includes making deliveries, purchasing supplies, shop upkeep/inventory, and general office upkeep (hanging decorations, moving/assembling furniture, etc.)
Responsibilities:
· Maintain all CCA properties at the direction of the Facilities Operations Officer
· Proactively identify, report, and implement maintenance, safety, and groundskeeping needs
· Prepare and maintain equipment repair, preventative maintenance, and expense logs
· Acquire and submit receipts for equipment and supply purchases in a timely manner
· Conduct daily duties as assigned in an unsupervised, safe, complete, and timely manner
· Knowledge of residential electrical
· Knowledge of residential plumbing
· Basic knowledge of carpentry
· Basic computer and Microsoft Office Suite knowledge
· Operate vehicles with and without a trailer
· Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· 2 years working in maintenance or construction
· Good communication skills
· Able to work in a professional, diverse, and dynamic environment
· Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and/or ready access to reliable transportation
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
· The employee must be able to work well in diverse environmental conditions, which may include exposure to noise, odors, varying temperatures, and the elements
· Must be able to frequently stand, sit, and lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
· Requires considerable walking (including climbing stairs)
