What are the responsibilities and job description for the On-Call Residential/Housing Support Specialist position at CLATSOP BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE?
Are you looking to fill a few days a week assisting others with daily living tasks? Join the dynamic team of Residential/Housing Support Specialists! Under the direction of the North Coast Crisis Respite Manager and Housing Services Manager, the Residential/Housing Support Specialist works as a member of an interdisciplinary team to implement and monitor treatment for residents within the residential facility and provide frontline support service within multiple housing programs. This position will fill in for regular staff for sick and vacation times and may be day or night shift coverage.
Day Shift: 7am-7pm
NOC shift: 7pm-7am with $2.00 shift differential
This position involves participation and implementation of program goals and objectives to promote a strengths-based, client centered approach to assisting residents in achieving individual goals, ultimately transitioning to a less restrictive setting and/or maintaining a housing placement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise/monitor client activities
- Prepare, distribute, and document medications accurately
- Provide support staff coverage as needed at Residential facility
- Maintain a safe physical environment
- Light/heavy housekeeping
- Cooking
- Inventory control
- Report writing/completion of required paperwork
- Driving duties may include client transport, facility shopping, recreational outings, medication distribution.
Requirements
- Ability to work any shift and respond timely when requested to fill a shift
- Valid Oregon or Washington Driver’s license or ability to obtain by date of hire
- Motor Vehicle Record clearance that meets agency insurance requirements
- Ability to pass DHS background check clearance
Preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 years prior experience in same or similar field
- Some higher education or vocational training in related field
- Trauma informed care, behavioral health or mental health training or experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or ability to be certified as a Qualified Mental Health Associate. Candidates who meet this qualification would start in a higher range than listed below.
