Duties
- Operate sewing machines efficiently to assemble upholstery fabrics and components according to design specifications
- Cut, measure, and prepare fabric pieces for sewing, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Sew upholstery pieces with attention to detail, maintaining high standards of craftsmanship
- Inspect finished products for defects or inconsistencies and make necessary adjustments
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area within the warehouse or manufacturing space
- Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for sewing equipment and materials
Experience
- Proven experience as an upholstery sewer or in garment construction within a manufacturing setting
- Strong sewing skills with proficiency in operating various sewing machines
- Knowledge of sewing techniques, fabric types, and upholstery assembly processes
- Familiarity with warehouse or production environment workflows is preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or patterns related to upholstery projects
- Prior experience working with sewing tools, cutting equipment, and safety practices in a manufacturing context
