What You'll Be Doing
As a Dog Trainer, you’ll play a key role in shaping well-behaved and confident pups. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Conducting training sessions tailored to the needs of individual dogs and their owners.
- Teaching basic obedience commands, behavior modification techniques, and socialization skills.
- Communicating effectively with pet owners to provide guidance and tips for reinforcing training at home.
- Observing and assessing dog behavior to develop customized training plans.
- Ensuring a safe and positive environment for dogs and their owners during sessions.
- Occasionally assisting with lifting or handling dogs weighing over 50 lbs.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a dedicated and experienced dog lover who meets the following qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in dog training or a related field.
- Strong understanding of canine behavior and training techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with both dogs and their humans.
- Physical ability to lift and handle dogs weighing over 50 lbs.
- A patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic approach to working with animals.
