Summary
Classic Steel, LLC, is looking to hire a temporary fitter. You will be an integral part of our manufacturing team, responsible for assembling and fabricating steel components. This role is essential to our mission of delivering high-quality products while ensuring safety and efficiency in our operations.
Night Shift:
- 2:30 P.M. - 8:30 P.M.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications.
- Assemble and fabricate steel using hand tools and machinery.
- Utilize soldering techniques to join steel parts securely.
- Measure and cut materials accurately using calipers and other measuring tools.
- Rig materials for lifting with cranes or other equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals effectively.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a fitter or similar role in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong skills in steel assembly and fabrication techniques.
- Familiarity with soldering methods and practices.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Ability to use hand tools, machinery, and equipment safely and effectively.
- Experience with machining processes is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of rigging principles is beneficial but not mandatory.
