General Contractor Laborer

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated, flexible and dependable General Contractor Laborer to join our Swimming Pool Service Team. In this energetic role, you will be an essential part of the on-site workforce, assisting with various tasks that keep service and construction projects moving forward efficiently and safely.

Duties

• Assist with the preparation and cleanup of construction sites, including loading and unloading materials using manual handling techniques and heavy lifting.
• Support skilled tradespeople by setting up tools, equipment, and materials according to project specifications.
• Operate power tools safely and effectively, adhering strictly to safety regulations and OSHA safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all safety regulations are followed at all times.
• Assist in implementing construction workplace safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) like respiratory masks and harnesses.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have a valid NYS Drivers License and Social Security Number
• Mechanical knowledge or experience working with construction tools and equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and OSHA safety standards is essential.
• Physical strength and stamina for manual handling, lifting, and working in various weather conditions.
• Familiarity with the use of power tools and basic construction plans.
• Strong commitment to safety regulations, including proper use of respiratory protection when necessary.
• Prior experience in a construction environment is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn on the job is highly valued.
