Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Manufacturing Associate I to join our team in Lynchburg, VA. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the production of specialty coatings, adhesives, and sealants. You will safely perform the tasks required to facilitate efficient production, encompassing everything from handling raw materials to final product packaging.

Key Responsibilities
- Safety & Compliance: Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), company policies, and safety regulations. Attend safety meetings and conduct routine safety audits.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate production equipment and perform startup/shutdown activities as trained.
- Quality Control: Monitor product quality throughout the production process and immediately alert supervisors of any out-of-compliance issues.
- Maintenance & Housekeeping: Keep the production line organized, clean, and free of hazards. Grease, adjust, or clean specific equipment parts to support autonomous maintenance programs.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate counts and document products produced or materials used.
- Team Collaboration: Actively participate in cross-training across various plant positions and assist in training new associates or laborers as needed.
Experience & Skills Requirements
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow multi-step instructions and watch multiple processes simultaneously.
- Safety Processes: Clear understanding of Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures, Hazard Communication policies, and general industrial safety.
- Adaptability: Ability to be flexible, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain a positive attitude.
- Math Skills: Basic mathematical proficiency applied to a production environment.
- Preferred Experience: Experience operating forklifts, working with chemicals/light chemical manufacturing, or working directly with SOPs is a strong plus.
- Testing: Ability to demonstrate competency on safety rules via written or verbal examination following training.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Must be able to safely lift and move up to 70 lbs.
- Must have full range of motion to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, stoop, or kneel.
- Ability to stand for extended periods in a plant environment with varying temperatures.
- Required to have 20/20 vision (or corrected 20/20 vision).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Pay: $17.65 per hour
