Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Carpenter/Foreman to lead and execute high-quality construction projects from start to finish. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise construction crews, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide construction activities accurately.
- Manage daily on-site operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Oversee quality control measures to ensure craftsmanship meets industry standards and client expectations.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, or similar tools for project scheduling, budgeting, and tracking progress.
- Conduct site inspections regularly to monitor safety compliance per OSHA standards and enforce safety protocols among team members.
- Prepare and review contracts, change orders, and other project documentation to maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
- Use technical tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical testing or other specialized equipment as needed on-site.
- Ensure all work adheres to project timelines while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
- Supervise subcontractors and laborers, providing guidance on best practices in construction management and site operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site management with a strong background in carpentry or related trades.
- Supervising experience leading construction crews or teams on large-scale projects.
- Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating processes.
- Familiarity with construction management software including ProCore, Primavera P6, Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (EPPM), HeavyBid, or equivalent tools.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and ability to enforce safety protocols effectively.
- Experience with project scheduling, budgeting, and managing contracts within a construction environment.
- Ability to read technical schematics accurately and utilize measurement tools like an ohmmeter for electrical work when necessary.
- Excellent management skills with a focus on team supervision, coordination, problem-solving, and communication.
- Knowledge of pipeline construction processes is a plus; familiarity with heavy civil or infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks on-site including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions.
