Electronic Repair Technician
Key Responsibilities
Primary Focus: Repair and/or calibration of factory automation equipment
Including
Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
Operator Display Panels (HMI)
Power Supplies
Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
Servo Drives
Other related automation equipment
Critical Skills: Troubleshoot circuit board failures to component level using
test equipment and test fixtures to ensure complete and proper repair of each unit
Documentation: Source repair components as necessary and document repair actions taken on repair records
Additional Duties: Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Hands-on experience troubleshooting Printed Circuit Boards to component level (1 year preferred)
Technical Skills
Prior soldering experience required
Component identification skills - ability to read component markings, color codes, and part numbers
Surface Mount Technology (SMT) repair experience with modern circuit boards
Manual dexterity and ability to perform all physical demands as outlined in job description
Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Safety & Compliance
Knowledge of safety procedures for working with high voltage equipment and hazardous materials
Soft Skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Self-driven with ability to take initiative
