OWL Services is seeking a Fuel Systems Technician (Trainee) to support retail, commercial, and private fueling facilities by ensuring fuel system integrity and regulatory compliance.
This is a hands-on, field-based role ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy independent work, travel, and problem-solving. You’ll play a key role in preventing environmental risks, fuel loss, and equipment failures.

Responsibilities- Perform fuel containment, equipment integrity, and leak-detection testing
- Identify leaks and compliance issues to prevent environmental or equipment failures
- Complete petroleum support work orders accurately and efficiently
- Document test results using calibration tools and digital systems
- Communicate findings and recommended solutions clearly to customers and partners
- Travel approximately two weeks per month (home on weekends; lodging provided) Follow all safety, DOT, and company policies
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude; experience with hand tools preferred
- Background in trades or industrial/commercial environments is a plus
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
- Physically able to lift 10–50 lbs and perform kneeling, bending, reaching, and prolonged standing
- Must pass a company-paid DOT physical and drug screen Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
