Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Security Engineer to join our team and help protect our digital assets from cyber threats. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure systems and networks, monitoring security infrastructure, and responding to incidents to ensure compliance and the integrity of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and maintain security tools, policies, and procedures to safeguard systems and networks.
* Monitor network traffic and security alerts to identify and respond to potential threats and vulnerabilities.
* Perform security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans.
* Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure software development practices.
* Investigate and respond to security incidents and provide detailed reports.
* Conduct risk analysis and support audit and compliance initiatives (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, HIPAA, GDPR).
* Manage and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, SIEM tools, and endpoint protection platforms.
* Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory requirements.
* Assist in security awareness training for staff and technical teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
* 3 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity or information security engineering.
* Strong understanding of network and application security principles.
* Experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and SIEM technologies.
* Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and analysis.
* Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
* Understanding of common frameworks and standards (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
* Experience with tools such as Splunk, Wireshark, Nessus, Metasploit, etc.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, Security , OSCP) are a plus.
