Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, carpets, windows, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces regularly.
- Handle custodial tasks such as trash removal, restocking supplies, and sanitizing high-touch areas to promote hygiene.
- Conduct routine floor care including buffing, polishing, and applying protective coatings to ensure surfaces remain pristine.
- Assist with industrial cleaning projects or specialized custodial tasks as needed to support facility operations.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs or hazards promptly to ensure safety standards are met.
- Maintain detailed logs of cleaning activities and supply inventories to ensure accountability and efficiency.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of commercial or residential cleaning standards.
- Skilled in floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing to keep floors looking their best.
- Knowledge of custodial practices including sanitation protocols for restrooms and high-touch surfaces.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, buffers, and pressure washers safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks like minor repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety procedures diligently.
