Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and organized College Planner to work directly with high school students and families. This role involves one-on-one coaching, helping students build strong college applications, manage application timelines, and apply for scholarships.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide students through the college planning process from freshman to senior year.
- Assist with college list development, applications, essays, and timelines.
- Help students identify scholarship opportunities and track deadlines.
- Conduct regular in-person meetings with students.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress using our CRM tools.
- Communicate with parents on progress, timelines, and upcoming goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required (Education, Counseling, Communications, or related field preferred).
- Prior experience in education, counseling, admissions, or youth mentorship preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Comfortable working with teens and parents.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented.
- Familiarity with the college admissions process and financial aid is a plus.
Schedule & Commitment
- Flexible, part-time hours (7–15 hours per week on average).
- Evening and occasional weekend availability preferred to accommodate student schedules.
- Potential for additional hours during peak application seasons.
- Strong potential for advancement and could lead to full-time employment if desired for the right candidate.
