What are the responsibilities and job description for the Greek Medical Interpreter position at CLAS, LLC?
Comprehensive Language Access Solutions, LLC (CLAS) is a small, minority owned business located in Northern Virginia. CLAS provides in-person spoken language interpretation services in healthcare settings across the Northern Virginia area. We have identified an urgent need in our area for additional Medical Interpreters.
CLAS is hiring trained, multilingual medical interpreters to deliver in-person interpretation services to our clients. As a medical interpreter, you will facilitate accurate provider-patient communication at hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare-related facilities.
We are looking for professional, motivated interpreters to join our team as Independent Contractors to assist in executing our mission to deliver superior quality language access services dedicated to servicing those of Limited English Proficiency in our community and our healthcare providers.
This is an Independent Contractor position thereby offering time and place flexibility. You set your own schedule based upon your availability and the geographic location of each assignment.
Qualifications
- Fluency in English and Target Language(s) is required, including familiarity with medical terminology
- Completed or plan to complete: Minimum of 40-hour medical interpreting training with language proficiency assessment is required
- U.S. work authorization required
- Be fully vaccinated against COVID and other vaccinations in accordance with health system requirements
- Must have reliable transportation to travel to multiple locations and appointments
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide accurate language interpreting services in English and Target Language(s)
- Facilitate provider-patient communication utilizing different modes of interpretation
- Adhere to professional Code of Ethics
- Demonstrate empathetic and respectful behavior in accordance with Health Care Code of Conduct
- Be punctual
- Provide accurate documentation of encounters
