Family Time Facilitator – Part Time

As a Family Time Facilitator, you'll work with your supervisor to create a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, while making a profound impact on families in need. Families involved with this program are navigating the child welfare system after experiencing a child being removed from their home due to allegations of abuse or neglect. Your work will involve supervising visits with children and their families in client homes, community settings, Department of Human Services buildings, or our offices, and helping these families rebuild trust and connection. During these supervised visits, you will utilize a trauma informed lens to provide engaging parenting skills training, psycho-education aimed towards increasing a family’s bond, and in the moment re-direction and parent coaching in order to promote the safe and successful reunification of families. You will be an advocate for the families, setting goals with the assistance of the caseworker and professional team, documenting progress, reporting any concerns of alleged abuse/neglect, testifying in court as needed, and providing transportation as required by the referral. What we’re looking for:

• Minimum of Associate’s Degree in a Human Services field preferred (Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Counseling, etc.)
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Prior experience working with children, crisis intervention and conflict resolution, and knowledge of child development and the child welfare system
• Proof of valid Driver’s License with clean driving record, as well as valid auto insurance and consistent access to a working vehicle that can safely transport clients
• Organized and able to independently maintain your schedule
• Ability to provide at least one weekend day and multiple afternoon/evenings of availability in order to maintain a caseload of a minimum of 18 client session hours per week, to accommodate the schedules of working parents and school-aged children
