Interior Remodeling Carpenter
Clarus Home Solutions | $25–$30/hour
Clarus Home Solutions is looking for an experienced Interior Remodeling Carpenter to join our small, established team.
We’re looking for someone who knows their way around residential remodeling, can work independently, and takes pride in getting the job done right. This is not an entry-level position. We need someone who can walk into a project, assess what needs to be done, and get to work without constant supervision.

What You'll Be Doing:
Our work includes apartment turnovers, city inspection repairs, maintenance projects, and residential remodeling throughout the Grand Rapids area.
A typical week may include:
- General maintenance and repair
- Plumbing, including sinks, vanities, faucets, toilets, drains, and garbage disposals
- Basic electrical, including fixtures, ceiling fans, outlets, switches, thermostats, and appliance connections
- Basic framing and structural repairs
- Finish carpentry, including baseboard, casing, crown, and shoe molding
- Cabinet and preformed countertop installation
- Window and glass replacement, including single and double-pane glass and glazing
- Interior and exterior door installation and adjustment, including slabs and pre-hung doors
- Minor drywall repair, patching, and painting
- Troubleshooting and making adjustments in the field
What We're Looking For
The right candidate should have 5–10 years of remodeling, carpentry, maintenance, or similar hands-on experience and be comfortable working independently.
You should also:
- Be reliable, trustworthy, and organized
- Work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Be comfortable making decisions and solving problems in the field
- Be professional and courteous when interacting with clients and tenants
- Have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Own basic hand tools
- Own and be comfortable using a smartphone
- Be comfortable with basic technology, including apps, email, and digital work orders
Most of the units we work in are vacant. We almost never work weekends, and roof work is rare.
Pay & Benefits
$25–$30/hour, depending on experience and ability.

- 4-day workweek with four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday
