Company Description ClaroWorks Product Development is a product development firm founded in 2006 and based in the greater Seattle area. The company focuses on rapid, iterative design/build across multiple disciplines, ranging from aerospace to consumer products and everything in between, giving team members opportunities to work on diverse and challenging projects.


Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Engineer role located in Everett, WA. The Mechanical Engineer will design, analyze, develop, and build mechanical components and assemblies from concept through prototyping and validation. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and updating CAD models and drawings, performing design calculations, supporting machine design activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine product requirements. The role involves participating in research and development efforts, building, testing and troubleshooting prototypes, and documenting design decisions and project progress. The Mechanical Engineer will also support project planning, coordinate with vendors and fabrication partners, and help ensure designs meet performance, safety, manufacturability, and cost targets.


Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, including mechanism design and DFM.
  • Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling and 2D drawings (e.g., Fusion 360, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar).
  • Ability to contribute to Project Management activities such as scheduling, task tracking, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Background in Research and Development (R&D), including concept exploration, experimentation, and iterative design.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and working with machine shops or fabrication partners is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, safety considerations, and basic engineering documentation practices.


Compensation:

$80,000 – $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
