Duties
- Develop comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to individual student goals and skill levels in voice and piano instruction
- Conduct engaging, interactive lessons that incorporate vocal techniques, sight-reading, music theory, and performance skills
- Manage classroom environments effectively, ensuring a safe, respectful, and motivating space for learners of all ages
- Incorporate choreography, dance instruction, or theatrical elements to enhance musical performances when appropriate
- Prepare students for recitals, auditions, or performances by guiding practice sessions and offering constructive feedback
- Track student progress through assessments and maintain detailed records of lesson plans and achievements
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, or program coordinators to support student development and address individual needs
Requirements
- Proven experience teaching voice and piano to diverse age groups, including children, youth programs, and adults
- Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management within arts education settings
- Knowledge of musical instruments, vocal techniques, choreography, dance instruction, theater experience, and visual & performing arts
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles, childhood development, behavior management, and special education needs
- Ability to work effectively with students from varied backgrounds while fostering creativity and confidence
- Experience in teaching arts-related subjects such as musical instruments, choreography, theater arts, or visual arts is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills with a passion for inspiring learners through tutoring and arts instruction
