Job Description: An Installation Technician is responsible for ensuring smooth and profitable completions of assigned Clarksville Fencing Access and Automation projects through impeccable work. A gate operator technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting automated gate systems, including access control panels, motors, sensors, and other related components, ensuring proper functionality and safety of the gates at various locations, often requiring knowledge of electrical wiring, mechanical systems, and programming to diagnose issues and perform repairs.

Day-to Day Activities Include:

· Ability, skill, and knowledge to use a variety of construction equipment
· Ability to read blueprints and schematics
· Proficiency in MS Office (specifically MS Excel, MS Word) and/or Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, and Gmail)
· Preferred: Proficiency in Field Service Management Software
· Mechanical aptitude: Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical components like gears, hinges, and actuators.
· Problem-solving skills: Effectively troubleshoot complex issues with gate systems and identify solutions.
· Hand tools proficiency: Skillful use of hand tools like wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, and measuring devices.
· Basic computer skills: Ability to use programming software to configure access control panels.

Job Requirements
· Health & Physical Fitness: Candidates must be in good health and physically fit to meet the demands of this role. This includes the ability to stand, walk, climb, and maneuver across active construction sites safely and effectively.
o Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring. Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits. Must be able to crawl through small spaces.
· Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, walking, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
· Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at a time.
- Mobility & Coordination: The role requires dexterity, balance, and agility to navigate around uneven surfaces, confined spaces, and various elevations. Candidates must be able to operate safely around potential hazards and ensure quality outcomes in work performance.
- Mental Awareness & Focus: A high level of mental awareness is essential for recognizing and responding to changing site conditions and safety requirements. Candidates must maintain focus and attention to detail, ensuring quality and safety in all tasks.

· High School Diploma or Equivalent
· Certification or Trade School Diploma in Electrical and/or Mechanical Work is PREFERRED
· Valid Driver’s License
