Clarksville Ophthalmology is growing, and we’re looking for a caring, skilled General Ophthalmology Surgeon to join our close-knit team. Clarksville, TN is one of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S. and in TN with annual figures around 2.44% to 2.67% and a 10-year population increase of about 20.8%. The population has grown significantly, with an estimated 180,716 residents as of 2024, and the city is still adding thousands of new residents each year. There is immediate clinic and surgical volume to start and opportunity for ASC ownership.

Clarksville TN living is very attractive with a lower cost of living than Nashville, access to outdoor recreation and a strong sense of community due to the military presence and the university; it has a growing economy full of amenities and job opportunities and is in close proximity to Nashville (50 miles northwest of the city) where you can quickly drive for more extensive nightlife, food, and entertainment/cultural options.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide medical eye care and manage a wide range of eye conditions.

• Perform cataract surgery, and other general ophthalmic surgeries.

• Guide patients through every step of their care — from diagnosis to post-op follow-up.

• Collaborate with our optometrists, technicians, and support staff to deliver seamless care.

• Keep detailed, accurate medical records and stay current on best practices in ophthalmology.

• Educate patients about preventive eye care and treatment options.

What We’re Looking For:

• MD or DO with completion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency.

• Board certified or board eligible in Ophthalmology.

• Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in Tennessee.

• Confident in cataract surgery and general ophthalmic procedures.

• A team player who’s compassionate, communicative, and committed to excellent patient care.

• Experience in outpatient and surgical eye care settings.

• Interest or minor focus in subspecialty areas such as glaucoma, cornea, or medical retina (not required but advantageous).

• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
