Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Middle School and High School Mathematics Teacher to inspire and challenge students in their mathematical journey. Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating educational technology and differentiated instruction techniques.
- Teach a wide range of mathematical subjects including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Discrete Math, Differential Equations.
- Design assessments, administer standardized tests, and provide constructive feedback to monitor student progress and achievement.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports students’ diverse learning styles and cultural backgrounds through adaptive teaching strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and implementing IT-integrated lessons to ensure consistency and educational excellence.
- Mentor students academically through tutoring sessions, academic advising, and behavior management strategies to promote motivation and engagement.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, lesson plans, and classroom activities in compliance with educational regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience teaching middle school or high school mathematics with a strong background in Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Discrete Math. . (Experience not requred)
- Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content that aligns with educational standards while integrating modern learning technology tools.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt lessons for different learning styles and cultural backgrounds.
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds in private or public school settings is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, students, parents, and administrative staff.
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and experience preparing students for assessments is advantageous.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in areas such as instructional design and special education strategies.
- Required Iowa Educator licensure with the Board of Educational Examiners.
