About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate childcare teacher to lead our 4-year-old classroom. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the curriculum, managing daily classroom activities, and fostering a collaborative environment in a multicultural setting. A thorough understanding of child development is essential, as well as effective communication skills to interact with both children and adults.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement engaging educational activities that align with developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards (GELDS).
- Design individual and group activities that promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth in a fun and interactive way.
- Ensure a safe and healthy classroom environment by maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety.
- Punctually attend staff meetings, workshops, and school functions.
- Accurately maintain records and files in a timely manner.
- Collaborate effectively with teacher assistants and volunteers to achieve common goals.
- Adhere to all center policies and state regulations.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and interact respectfully in a multicultural environment.
- Provide additional support as needed, as determined by the Director or designee.
Requirements
- Must possess a minimum of a CDA.
- Be able to pass a full background check or have a clear record.
- Hold at least 1 year of experience working with children.
Nice to Have
- More than 1 year of experience working with children.
- Speak multiple languages.
- Experience working with children from diverse cultural backgrounds.
