Technical Delivery Lead Java Full Stack

We are seeking an experienced Hands-on Technical Delivery Lead with a strong Java full-stack development background and solid experience working with Oracle or PostgreSQL databases. This role is responsible for the successful delivery of a large-scale, multi-track, multi-year program within an Agile environment.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with proven leadership and delivery skills, ensuring high-quality software solutions that align with business objectives. This position requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Agile Leadership & Program Delivery

• Lead and oversee delivery of a large, complex, multi-track Agile program spanning multiple teams and workstreams.

• Ensure consistent adoption and adherence to Agile principles and best practices (Scrum / SAFe / Agile at scale).

• Drive program-level planning, execution, dependency management, and milestone tracking.

• Identify and remove delivery impediments, risks, and bottlenecks.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and engineering excellence.

Business & Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and business analysts to gather, clarify, and refine requirements.

• Act as a bridge between business and technology teams, ensuring shared understanding of priorities and deliverables.

• Translate business requirements into clear technical solutions and execution plans.

• Provide regular status updates, risk assessments, and delivery metrics to leadership.

Technical Leadership & Hands-On Guidance

• Leverage prior hands-on development experience to provide technical direction and mentorship to engineering teams.

• Guide design and implementation of Java full-stack applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.

• Collaborate with architects and senior engineers on solution design, code quality, and best practices.

• Ensure seamless integration with Oracle or PostgreSQL databases and downstream systems.

• Enforce engineering standards, code reviews, CI/CD practices, and quality controls.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• 10 years of overall IT experience with strong hands-on Java full-stack development background.

• 5 years in a Technical Lead / Delivery Lead / Engineering Lead role.

• Strong experience delivering large-scale Agile programs involving multiple teams.

• Expertise in:

  • Java, Spring / Spring Boot

  • Full-stack development (REST APIs, UI frameworks)

  • Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases

• Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery models, and DevOps practices.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in financial services, payments, or banking domains.

• Familiarity with SAFe or enterprise Agile frameworks.

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).

• Prior experience working with Fiserv or similar enterprise financial platforms.

• Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
