JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Quality Assurance Engineer – Sr Professional I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of Fiserv’s e-commerce and payment-processing platforms. This position requires hands-on experience testing e-commerce APIs, strong expertise with API automation tools such as Postman, and working knowledge of ISO Data Elements used in payment and transaction processing systems.
You will collaborate closely with development, product, and platform teams to validate complex integrations, identify defects early, and continuously improve QA processes in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities

Execute detailed functional, integration, regression, and performance testing for e-commerce and payment-related applications.
Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for RESTful APIs.
Perform API testing and automation using tools such as Postman (including collections, environments, and automated assertions).
Validate ISO Data Elements in transaction requests and responses to ensure accuracy, compliance, and data integrity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Development, Product, DevOps) to identify, triage, and resolve software defects.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts and reusable test assets.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Apply QA best practices to ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable deliverables.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to test coverage, automation, and defect prevention.

Required Experience & Qualifications

4 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
2 years of hands-on automation testing experience.
2 years of performance testing experience.
2 years of experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Direct experience testing e-commerce APIs, including request/response validation.
Strong expertise with API testing and automation tools such as Postman.
Knowledge and practical experience with ISO Data Elements, particularly in payment or transaction-processing systems.
Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP methods, and status codes.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with additional API automation or testing frameworks.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests.
Exposure to security testing concepts and practices.
Understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC).
Certification in software testing methodologies (e.g., ISTQB or equivalent).
Prior experience in payments, banking, or financial services domains.
