Position Summary: The Institute for STEM Education and the Coulter School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Clarkson University invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor Faculty position with a background in Engineering Education starting on August 1, 2026. The Institute for STEM Education focuses on pedagogical research and has an especially strong tradition of collaborative work with other departments and with faculty across the university. The Institute is looking to grow research capacity in the area of Engineering Education in support of educational development and assessment efforts in the Coulter School. The successful candidate will be appointed to the Institute for STEM Education (possibly) with a joint appointment to an appropriate engineering department.
Minimum qualifications: Ph.D. in Engineering Education, a record of publication and/or research experience in Engineering Education, potential to obtain external research funding and an ability to teach within an engineering discipline. Candidates near completion of their Ph.D. will be considered with the expectation that the Ph.D. will be earned by/prior to Fall 2026.
Range: $100,000 $115,000 based on experience
