Clarkson Early Childhood Center is a family-owned early childhood program with over 30 years of service to the Brooklyn community, operating DOE-funded 3K and Pre-K programs. We're seeking a passionate and creative Enrichment Instructor to lead weekly sessions for our 3K and Pre-K students.
Position Overview
The Enrichment Instructor will provide a 45-minute enrichment session once per week per classroom, introducing young learners to music, dance, or art in a fun, age-appropriate, and developmentally engaging way.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver weekly 45-minute enrichment sessions for 3K and Pre-K classrooms
- Design lesson plans appropriate for early childhood developmental stages (ages 3–5)
- Foster creativity, self-expression, and fine/gross motor skill development
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all learners
- Collaborate with lead teachers to align enrichment activities with classroom themes when possible
- Maintain classroom management and ensure student safety during sessions
- Communicate professionally with center staff regarding scheduling and student needs
Qualifications
- Experience working with young children (3K/Pre-K age group preferred)
- Background or training in music, dance, or art (specify one specialty when applying)
- Ability to plan engaging, age-appropriate lessons independently
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Background clearance/fingerprinting as required by DOE/DOHMH regulations
Pay: $90.00 - $120.00 per week
