Job Summary
The Product Cost Analyst is primarily responsible for providing costing support and analytics for all facilities with an emphasis on our stamping and specialty roll-forming operations.
The position reports to the Cost Accounting Manager and has future career progression opportunities both in Accounting and Finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn the costing module on the new ERP system including how to create parts and set up BOM and routers
- Prepare various reports to assist with review and analysis of inventory costs and inventory variances
- Reviews aged inventory and slow-moving inventory, initiates discussions with the plant for proper disposition
- EDI invoice matching in current ERP system
- Tracking inventory and costs at third parties for our stamping business
- Review of aged receiving records for proper resolution
- Support the Cost Accounting Manager with preparation of capital projects
- Calculate inventory cost for our copper products
- Prepare and review labor and overhead standards on a quarterly basis
- Month end closing support and schedule prep
- Assistance with ad hoc projects as necessary

- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with ERP systems
- Experience with IFS is a plus
- Knowledge of SQL & data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles
- 1 - 3 years of prior experience in a similar capacity
