Your Impact:
As a Survey Technician, you will play a crucial role in preparing, conducting, and reducing field surveys to support the completion of various survey products, including topographic/engineering design surveys, ALTA/NSPS Title surveys, Land Survey/Record of Survey plats, subdivisions, and legal descriptions. Your technical expertise will be essential in utilizing GPS, conventional instruments, and software such as Microsoft Office and AutoCAD with Carlson. You will also manage geodesy, coordinate system adjustments, data base management, and internal company programs. Effective communication with clients and subcontractors, both verbally and electronically, is key. Utility designation and drone pilot capabilities are a plus. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

- Check Schedule & Enter Time Daily; Manage Emails
- Daily Coordination with Supervisor; Efficiently Manage Time
- Upload / Download Data; Properly File Project Data
- Field Equipment Setup, Maintenance, and Utilization; Vehicle Maintenance and Logs
- Process Field Data; Draft Improvements & Utilities; Process Surfaces & Create Contours
- Ensure Materials are Stocked; Record Clear and Complete Field Notes; Take Site Photos
- Conduct Boundary and Records Research; Perform Boundary Retracement; Collect and Adjust OPUS Data
- Field-to-Finish Coding; Order Public Utility Locates
- Adhere to ALTA Standards; Conduct Topography / Mapping; Perform FEMA Research and Analysis
- Resolve Problems; Maintain Client Relations; Provide Training to Staff
Core Experience
- 5 years of field surveying experience
- LSI or PLS certification (preferred but not required)
- Proficiency in general computer skills and Microsoft Office
- Expertise in AutoCAD with Carlson Software
- Ability to adopt company drafting standards and systems
Location: Pueblo West, CO office.
Willing to frequently travel within a day of home office and overnight as needed.
