Job Summary:
Harrisburg-based Clark Transfer is looking for a full-time Safety/Recruiting Coordinator to join our team. Working as a member of our Safety and Recruiting Departments under the supervision of Clark’s Safety Director, the Safety/Recruiting Coordinator will support the company in maintaining a culture that genuinely puts safety first. This includes direct engagement with the Safety Director, recruiting department, and our fleet of 100 owner-operators to ensure the company is compliant with all FMCSA and DOT regulations. The Safety/Recruiting Coordinator will also play a central role in the recruitment, onboarding, and orientation of new Owner-Operators.
Job Duties:
- Conduct and participate in new Owner-Operator onboarding, orientation, and safety training
- Work with the recruiting department to guide candidates from the recruiting process through orientation
- Create and assist in maintaining Owner-Operator qualification and tractor files
- Accurately typing, editing, and formatting documents, forms, and spreadsheets
- Organizing files (physical and digital) and supplies
- Assist in the monitoring of driver compliance with annual physicals, CDL, tractor inspections & passport renewals
- Support the Safety Director and Owner-Operators in dealing with issues related to Electronic Logging Device (ELD) hardware and software
- Assist in incident /accident reports and help coordinate claims processing
- Maintain and keep organized all company-branded inventory
- Provide general administrative assistance to the Safety Director and Recruiting Team
- Backup for after-hours/weekend support when needed
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Demonstrated initiative in seeking additional work responsibilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
- Ability to learn our customized Access-based program
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of transportation safety experience required
- Experience developing and leading training and orientation programs preferred
- Experience with ELD software, Motive preferred
- High School or GED equivalent required, college degree preferred
