Job SummaryClark Testing is seeking an Accounting and Human Resources Assistant for our corporate office located in Jefferson Hills, PA. We’re looking for an individual who thrives in a role that offers variety in their workday and requires patience and flexibility. The Accounting and Human Resources Assistant will report to both the Vice President of Human Resources and the Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate possesses experience working in a corporate setting; especially in the areas of accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and employee benefits. On most days, the Accounting and Human Resources Assistant will be required to physically report into the office.Primary DutiesAccounting DepartmentAssist with daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.Enter invoices, payments, and journal entries accurately and efficiently.Maintain and update financial records and accounting data.Support the preparation and processing of expense reports.Assist with credit card reconciliations.Help generate basic financial reports for internal review.Maintain organized electronic and physical accounting files.Respond to routine billing and payment inquiries from vendors and internal staff.Support month-end closing activities by preparing supporting documentation.Assist with payroll processing and related recordkeeping, as needed.Ensure compliance with company accounting procedures and internal controls.Perform general administrative and accounting support duties as assigned.Protect operations by maintaining and keeping all company financial and employee information confidential.Human Resources DepartmentMaintain and uphold employee confidence and protect operations by keeping human resource information confidential.Support operations managers with approving and submitting employee timecards for bi-weekly payroll processing.Assist the VP of Human Resources with planning and scheduling HR-related programs such as new employee on-boarding & orientation and open enrollment for employee benefits.Upload required documentation and assist in maintaining employee personnel records.Other filing and record-keeping.Qualifications & Competency RequirementsHigh School diploma or GED is required.Associate degree in accounting, business, human resources, or another related field is preferred.2 years’ experience in a corporate office support role is a plus.Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is a must for this role.Experience with other Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Teams, and PowerPoint) is expected.Experience with payroll review and processing is needed for this role.Experience with other areas of HR such as employee benefits, talent acquisition, and new employee on-boarding & orientation is preferred.Courteous and friendly communications skills are essential for success in this role.Capable of handling multiple tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must.Must be committed to exercising safe work habits at all times.Available to work a Monday - Friday daylight schedule but willing to occasionally work off-shift hours or overtime when special circumstances occur and may require it.Able to lift, carry, move, and transport objects of up to 40 lbs.Must have reliable transportation/be able to manage the daily commute to the office.Must be able to pass drug screening and background checks.Must be a US citizen.This is a Non-exempt, hourly position.
