Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all cafe activities during your shift, ensuring smooth operation from food prep, specialty beverages and customer service
- Lead and motivate team members by providing clear direction, training, and support to deliver outstanding service
- Oversee food and beverage preparation, cooking, and food safety practices to meet health standards and quality expectations
- Manage POS systems such as Al Square for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Control inventory levels by monitoring stock, placing orders, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a positive dining experience for all guests
- Assist with staff scheduling, interviewing potential team members, and conducting training sessions for new hires
- Support kitchen management by supervising food production, maintaining cleanliness standards, and ensuring efficient workflow
- Help train team members and provide a warm, welcoming, engaging and professional hospitality environment
- Provide frequent relebant, important and useful communication
- Adhere to financial targets
- Present a positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Must be able to work mornings
Skills
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Experience in providing a great guest experience
- Strong decision making capabilities
- Bakery and/or barista experience is highly valued
- Strong collaborator and communicator
- Demonstrated leadership in supervising teams within hospitality or restaurant settings; experience in staff training and development is highly valued
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally
- Strong understanding of food safety management, inventory control, and food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling, order calculations, and profit analysis
- Effective communication skills for managing team members and coordinating with management teams
- Experience with restaurant management tasks such as shift management, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis is a plus

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
