Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions swiftly and efficiently
- Greet customers warmly, providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries with professionalism
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision and accountability
- Assist in inventory management through stocking, merchandising, and participating in stock counts
- Demonstrate phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support grocery store operations by adhering to safety protocols and maintaining cleanliness
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills and team collaboration
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Strong communication skills for engaging with customers and team members alike
- Basic math skills for handling transactions, giving correct change, and managing retail math calculations
- Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures is essential
