What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Tutor position at Clark's Tutoring?
We are currently seeking experienced and passionate tutors to join our team in providing high-quality educational support to students in grades K-6th. As a tutor, you will be responsible for creating and implementing lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of each student, providing regular progress reports, and helping students achieve academic success.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with student needs and goals
- Communicate regularly with students and their parents/guardians regarding progress
- Provide a safe and positive learning environment
- Help students complete homework and prepare for exams.
- Monitor student progress and make adjustments to lesson plans as necessary
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be a certified teacher in elementary education/reading OR hold a relevant degree (Education, English)
- Science of Reading Certification
- Experience tutoring in the areas of K-6th grade subjects
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to develop individualized lesson plans and implement them effectively
- Demonstrated passion for education and helping students succeed
