Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Microvellum Engineer located in Fredericksburg, VA. The Microvellum Engineer will be responsible for developing and optimizing designs using Microvellum software, creating precise shop drawings, preparing detailed cut lists, and managing design data to ensure accurate production. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with the production and project management teams, troubleshooting design or manufacturing challenges, and ensuring compliance with required specifications and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microvellum software and related CAD tools for creating and managing millwork designs
- Experience in generating detailed shop drawings, cut lists, and product specifications for manufacturing
- Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes used in custom millwork and retail fixture production
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot design and production challenges
- Attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings and documentation
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with design, production, and project management teams
- Previous experience in a millwork, woodworking, or manufacturing environment is a plus
- Degree or certification in Drafting, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
