Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Roofing Service Technician to lead a 2-person service crew in providing top-tier commercial roof repairs and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leak detection, extensive knowledge of various commercial roofing systems, and the ability to communicate clearly with both clients and the internal team. You will be responsible for completing service calls, reports, and ensuring high-quality, efficient work. This is a local job in the Chicagoland area.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a 2-person crew on commercial roof service calls and repairs
- Diagnose and repair roof leaks across various systems (MB, TPO, PVC, EPDM)
- Be able to run and complete repair projects
- Communicate effectively with clients and the Service Manager
- Accurately document work using mobile applications (photos, notes, repair descriptions)
- Write clear, detailed repair reports and recommendations
- Ensure safety compliance on all job sites
- Maintain service vehicle and tools in clean and working condition
- Represent the company with professionalism and integrity
- Understand Manufacturing specifications for proper repairs.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of commercial roofing experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proficient in leak investigation and repair.
- In-depth knowledge of Modified Bitumen (MB), TPO, PVC, and EPDM systems
- Experience using mobile apps or tablets for documenting work and submitting reports.
- Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus.
