Position Summary
The Human Resources Director will provide strategic and operational HR leadership for a multi-site manufacturing organization. This role partners closely with executive leadership to develop and execute people strategies that drive business performance, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and talent development. The successful candidate will have extensive experience leading HR functions within manufacturing environments and managing HR initiatives across multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic business partner to executive leadership, providing guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, and employee engagement.
- Lead all Human Resources functions including employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, performance management, training and development, compliance, and succession planning.
- Oversee HR operations across multiple manufacturing facilities and distribution locations.
- Develop and implement HR strategies that support company growth, operational excellence, and workforce stability.
- Drive leadership development initiatives and succession planning programs to build organizational capability.
- Partner with operational leaders to improve employee retention, productivity, and engagement.
- Lead complex employee relations matters, investigations, and conflict resolution efforts.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Manage compensation and benefits programs to maintain market competitiveness and support retention objectives.
- Develop and monitor HR metrics, workforce analytics, and key performance indicators.
- Lead organizational change initiatives, acquisitions, integrations, and workforce transitions as needed.
- Establish and maintain HR policies, procedures, and best practices across all locations.
- Mentor and develop HR team members while fostering a high-performance culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- 10 years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience within a manufacturing, food & beverage, consumer packaged goods, or industrial environment.
- Multi-site HR leadership experience required.
- Strong background in employee relations, talent management, organizational development, and employment law.
- Experience supporting both exempt and non-exempt workforces.
- Demonstrated success partnering with executive leadership teams and influencing organizational strategy.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR initiatives with operational objectives.
- Experience leading organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
- SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent certification preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, or industrial manufacturing experience.
- Experience supporting facilities with 500 employees across multiple locations.
- Mergers and acquisitions integration experience.
- Exposure to both union and non-union environments.

Salary : $160,000 - $190,000
