How you’ll contribute
A Radiology Technician who excels in this role:
Reviews patient history and physician’s orders. Educates patients on procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice as ordered. Monitors patient condition and responds to changes as appropriate.
Prepares equipment and supplies, selects exposure factors and imaging parameters, and ensures compliance with safety standards.
Performs quality control checks on equipment; troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports malfunctions as necessary.
Positions patients and performs imaging procedures. Analyzes results, identifies quality issues, and takes corrective action including repositioning or repeating procedures.
Enters, transmits, and reports scan results accurately.
Provides direct support in meeting departmental service levels.
Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
Performs other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for
Applicants should have graduated from a radiology degree program. Additional requirements include:
Education: Graduate of a Radiology program required.
License/Certifications: Current Radiation Operator Certificate in state of practice; registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiology; BCLS required.
