What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technology Analyst – Water position at Clark Public Utilities?
WHAT YOU WOULD DO:
• Support Water systems and applications by monitoring, reviewing, and identifying operational issues.
• Participate in system testing activities including software updates.
• Monitor dashboards, reports, and water system alerts, including continuous flow and leak indicators.
• Perform audits of system data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment across related systems.
• Investigate data discrepancies and coordinate correction efforts with appropriate teams.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and department-focused solutions using approved tools.
• Analyze operational and system data to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.
• Act as a liaison between Water and Information Services, translating business needs to technical requirements.
• Coordinate issue resolution, system enhancements, and changes with Information Services and vendors.
• Develop and maintain documentation including process, procedures, and data definitions.
• Provide training, guidance, and support on systems, tools, and processes.
• Collaborate with internal and cross-functional teams to improve workflows and system effectiveness.
• Participate in meetings, training, and knowledge-sharing activities to stay current on systems and initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s degree in business, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related field or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s
degree preferred. Ability to learn Water department processes, systems, and operational workflows. Requires strong
analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret data and translate it into meaningful
insights. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are
required. Experience using data visualization, reporting, or business analysis tools preferred. Experience working in a
utility, public sector, or operational environment is a plus.

SALARY:
Salary ranges are market based and established annually. With full competency in the role and satisfactory
performance, the target is midpoint within the established range.
