- Director and Assistant Director of Special Education
- Maintains records as required by district policy; maintains professional ethics.
- Serves as a resource to school staff members in the development of a balanced program for improvement in articulation, expressive and receptive language, and phonetic awareness.
- Provides a therapeutic program to meet individual needs of speech, language, and hearing handicapped children.
- Provides a thorough assessment and diagnosis of speech, voice, hearing, rhythm, and language impairments.
- Assists in proper referrals and maintains lists of referred, screened, and eligible students, as well as directory of outside agencies, consultants, specialists, and related services.
- Assumes primary responsibility for requisitioning and maintaining needed equipment and supplies.
- Follows a regular set schedule and arrives for each class or session on time.
- Tracks referrals and placements by age, grade level, and disorder for Continuous Monitoring
- Report for Special Education Department of IDOE.
- Master's Degree or higher required
- Certification required
- Experience preferred
