Position: Certified Medical Assistant - Phone Triage

Location: Mobile, AL

Pay: $16.50 to $17.50/hour (Depending on Experience)

Type: Full-time; Contract

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM (Excluding 1–2 late evenings per month; average late evening ends before 6:00 PM)

Clark Personnel is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant - Phone Triage to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description

• Answer telephones in a professional and courteous manner
• Address and triage patient concerns, routing calls to the appropriate team member when necessary
• Review incoming laboratory results promptly upon receipt
• Ensure labs or diagnostic test results requiring clinical evaluation are presented to the physician in a timely manner
• Assist with patient checkout procedures
• Cross-train to assist with prescription refill requests and ensure prescriptions are processed accurately and sent timely to the appropriate pharmacy
• Maintain full compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards, including full access to medical records/PHI
• Consistently model behaviors that demonstrate understanding and support of the Corporate Philosophy of Nephrology Associates of Mobile, P.A.
• Maintain attendance and punctuality within company standards
• Take initiative and accountability for work outcomes
• Follow supervisor instructions professionally and enthusiastically
• Communicate positively and work collaboratively with team members
• Perform other related duties as assigned
  
  

Position Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required
• Minimum of 5 years of medical assistant experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred but not required
• Strong phone etiquette and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
