- Monitor and operate facility systems, including refrigeration, wastewater, steam, low/high-pressure hot water, compressed air, and ventilation.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and repairs on assigned equipment, ensuring systems operate safely and effectively at all times.
- Record system readings and document operational performance.
- Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical, electrical (high and low voltage), PLC/control, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Perform welding and fabrication of equipment in a food manufacturing environment.
- Industrial boiler and air compressor experience required.
- Wastewater management experience is a plus.
- R.E.T.A. Certification or the ability to obtain.
- Strong knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and Process Safety Management (PSM).
- Automation experience and ability to read P&IDs.
- Electrical troubleshooting skills (480/230v 3-phase, 120v, 24v) with the ability to read schematics and blueprints.
- Root cause analysis and advanced troubleshooting abilities.
- Proficient with electrical testing equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Skilled in soldering and welding; forklift and scissor lift certified.
- Knowledge of EPA regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Strong written/verbal communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
