Clark Medical Group is seeking an experienced, dependable, and highly motivated Front Office Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, works well under pressure, and can effectively multitask in a fast-paced medical office.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for an individual who takes initiative, pays close attention to detail, and understands the importance of accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional patient care.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Patient check-in and check-out
- Answering and managing high-volume phone calls
- Scheduling appointments accurately and efficiently
- Verifying and updating patient demographics and insurance information at every visit
- Obtaining and processing referrals and prior authorizations when applicable
- Scanning and maintaining medical records and patient documentation
- Collecting copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and outstanding balances
- Managing patient messages and communicating effectively with providers and staff
- Ensuring all patient information is accurate and complete before appointments
- Maintaining confidentiality and complying with HIPAA regulations
- Assisting with additional front office duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous medical office experience is required.
- Insurance verification and referral experience is preferred.
- AdvancedMD experience is highly preferred.
- Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment is required.
- Must be able to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
