The Logistics Analyst position will support logistics operations and strategy, driving efficiency, cost savings, and service improvements across our supply chain. The Logistics Analyst will be responsible for analyzing transportation and distribution data, developing reporting tools, managing carrier and vendor performance, and supporting logistics initiatives to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of materials and finished goods.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Duties:
Logistics Analysis & Reporting
The Logistics Analyst position will support logistics operations and strategy, driving efficiency, cost savings, and service improvements across our supply chain. The Logistics Analyst will be responsible for analyzing transportation and distribution data, developing reporting tools, managing carrier and vendor performance, and supporting logistics initiatives to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of materials and finished goods.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Duties:
Logistics Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze freight spend, carrier performance, and shipping metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Prepare dashboards and KPI reports (e.g., on-time delivery, freight cost per unit, carrier scorecards).
- Conduct root-cause analysis for service failures and drive corrective actions.
- Evaluate shipping lanes, mode selection, and routing to reduce cost while maintaining service levels.
- Partner with internal teams on freight forecasting and capacity planning.
- Support freight bid events and rate negotiations with carriers and 3PLs.
- Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and operations teams to streamline shipping processes and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. and international shipping regulations, trade tariffs, and customs requirements.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives (lean, Six Sigma, or related frameworks).
- Maintain logistics systems (ERP, TMS, and related tools) for accurate shipment and cost data.
- Develop models to forecast logistics spend and improve supply chain visibility.
- Drive adoption of data-driven decision making within the logistics function.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business, or 8 years of experience in a related field.
- 5 years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain analysis (manufacturing industry preferred).
- Strong knowledge of domestic and international freight operations, Scheduling, tariffs, and compliance requirements.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills (Power BI, SQL, or similar tools a plus).
- ERP and TMS experience (Infor, Oracle, SAP, or similar).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making.
- Lean / Six Sigma certification is a plus.
- Must be authorized to work in the USA without any sponsorship now or in the future.
