Billing Manager

Clark Hill PLC is seeking a Billing Manager for its Dallas, TX, Detroit, MI, or Pittsburgh, PA office. This position is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations for a staff of Billing Specialists. The Billing Manager (i) is responsible for developing and maintaining billing procedures and best practices that ensure compliance with client requirements; (ii) serves as the primary liaison between Billing Specialists, attorneys, and practice group leadership on issue resolution; (iii) monitors and provides detailed analysis and reporting on billing performance, aged WIP, and unbilled inventory to firm leadership; (iv) leads training sessions for attorneys and staff on billing processes and procedures; and (v) uses technology, including automation and artificial intelligence, to streamline billing processes.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field and will also have at least three (3) years of billing experience in a supervisory or managerial role. With strong knowledge of ebilling platforms and procedures, candidates must have expertise with legal billing systems such as Elite 3E, eBilling hub, or 3E Proforma. The successful candidate will work effectively under pressure and must be committed and responsive to firm deadlines. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and must be a flexible and independent worker with high energy, self-motivation, and a service-oriented mind. This position has a hybrid work schedule.

The salary range for this position at the time of posting is $85,000 - $100,000 annually, based upon a full-time work schedule. Actual compensation will be influenced by various factors, including but not limited to employee qualifications, relevant experience, skill sets, training, internal equity, and market data. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
