Role Description The Associate Attorney will work on a full-time, on-site basis in Birmingham, AL. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching legal issues, drafting memoranda, pleadings, motions, and contracts, and preparing correspondence and other client-facing documents. The role involves providing legal advice under supervision, assisting in the management of general civil defense matters legal matters, and participating in negotiations, mediations, and court or administrative proceedings as needed. The Associate Attorney will collaborate with partners and other team members, attend client meetings, help develop case strategy, and manage deadlines and documentation to ensure efficient and compliant case handling.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Research and Legal Advice, including drafting clear, accurate, and practical legal documents and guidance.
- Effective Negotiation skills, with the ability to represent client interests professionally in discussions and settlements.
- Active license to practice law in Alabama, or recent law graduate that has taken the recent Bar Exam.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a collaborative team environment.
