Job Description
We are expanding our team of dental professionals and are looking for a dental assistant who knows the value of providing a great experience for our patients and who is enthusiastic about delivering quality care. The hours for the position are Monday 7:30am -4:30pm, Tuesday 7:30am-6pm, Wednesday 7:30am-4:30pm and Thursday from 7:30am-3:30pm. The job entails working with patients of all ages and providing top quality and efficient care. In this job you will:
- Maintain office policies and procedures Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
- Taking dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse
- Serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
- Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment
- Providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling)
- Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
- Taking impressions of patients' teeth for models of teeth
- Performing office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer
- Assisting the dentist with various procedures.
Basic Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited program and pass a state exam Use of Dental Technology
- Patient Services

- 1 year experience preferred
