Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

My client is looking to add an experienced Electrical Instrumentation Technician to their organization. The ideal candidate will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and instrumentation systems at their properties. Must have a robust background in electrical work, instrumentation calibration, and mechanical knowledge. Will also service and repair all types of utility , building electrical and control systems including boiler and Cogen plant controls, chiller plant controls, electrical systems and HVAC system controls.

Duties:

• Maintain a professional, safe and clean work area. Comply with OSHA Safety Policies and Regulations
• On call responsibilities required on a to cover for any off hour emergencies
• Plant maintenance, operations activities and building renovations
• Assist in the proper implementation of the Preventive Maintenance initiatives
• Maintenance work orders
• Ensure that all work is done in a timely and cost effective manner according to code
• Assists Facility Services with cost savings opportunities and procedures.
• Ensures that all facilities are safe and comply with all Federal, State and Local Laws
• Ensures environmental procedures and issues are being followed through the direction of the tenant’s environmental specialist representative. Assists in reviewing any plans or specifications for additional maintenance, construction and renovations.
• Extensive knowledge of building mechanical/electrical infrastructure.

Requirements:

• 4-7 years' experience in building maintenance, with minimum of 4 years working with electrical power systems and utility control systems.
• Experience with HVAC systems operation, maintenance and repair work.
• Strong knowledge of air handling systems, airflow and IAQ issues, heating systems and exhaust systems required.
• Must have the ability to read and interpret detailed plans, specifications, operating manuals and other written materials.
