Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Field Safety Technician to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the safety and compliance of construction sites through rigorous risk management, occupational health practices, and adherence to industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and construction management software, with a focus on maintaining a safe working environment across diverse construction projects.
Duties
- Conduct regular safety inspections on construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, and Workers' Compensation standards.
- Develop and implement safety procedures tailored to specific project needs, emphasizing risk management and occupational health.
- Monitor ongoing construction activities to enforce safety policies and prevent accidents or injuries.
- Maintain accurate documentation of safety audits, incident reports, and compliance management records.
- Provide training sessions for workers on OSHA regulations, EHS best practices, and proper use of construction management software.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to develop site-specific safety plans and ensure adherence throughout project phases.
- Assist in incident investigations and recommend corrective actions to mitigate future risks.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and emerging safety technologies relevant to construction site safety.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management, occupational health, or EHS roles within the construction industry.
- Heavy Civil background with excavation, trenching and shoring.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, NEC codes, Workers' Compensation policies, and compliance management practices.
- Familiarity with construction site experience and the ability to manage safety across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in construction management software and safety compliance tools.
- Excellent risk management skills with the ability to identify hazards proactively.
- Effective communication skills for training staff and collaborating with project teams.
- Certification in OSHA or related occupational health fields is preferred.
